Hafdis Huld releases her new single Synchronised Swimmers on November 1st, the track has already been featured on Chris Hawkin’s 6 Music show and also on Steve Lamacq’s Radio 2 show.
Radcliffe and Maconie also featured the track last week and have arranged for the singer to perform an acoustic Christmas set on their Radio 2 show.
So chances are you may have already heard Synchronised Swimmers, if not you could be in for a treat. Hailing from Reykjavik, Hafdis has been described as an Icelandic Cerys Matthews by Steve Lamacq, the single is also the title track of her second album.
The album of beautiful, quirky, folk pop songs has raised the artists profile worldwide and Hafdis has been touring around Europe since September, recently arriving in the UK for a series of dates before a promotional trip to the USA.
It’s been a very busy year so far, including gigs, festivals, showcases, live radio & TV sessions and signing a worldwide publishing deal with the highly respected independent publisher, Bucks Music.
